2022 Brownlow Medal winner Patrick Cripps revealed on Thursday that his upcoming wedding is making him more nervous than Brownlow night did.
The Carlton captain, 27, is set to marry his longtime partner Monique Fontana in December after a nine-month engagement.
The AFL star told the the extravagant wedding they have planned gives him the jitters.

'There's about 200 people on the guest list, so it's going to be a big wedding. I was nervous on Brownlow night but I think I'll be more nervous on the wedding night,' he said.

The Carlton star swept his fiancé into his arms after his name was called out at the event at Crown Casino in Melbourne.

Cripps pipped bookmakers' favourite Lachie Neale to the prestigious award by a single vote.
The Blues skipper received 29 votes, one more than Neale, to become the first Carlton player to receive the Brownlow Medal since Chris Judd in 2010 and the sixth in the club's history.
In an epic finish, he secured three votes in the final game of the season, which allowed him to pip Neale to the post with the star midfielder polling just one vote.
Cripps said their lavish wedding ceremony in Western Australia will have about 200 guests including both their families and friends from on and off the field
